ZEPHYR
Zephyr Bar began as an unlikely brief: transform what was once an office floor into a vibrant new rooftop bar above the Montague Hotel. The space had good bones but no real purpose, plus an acoustic puzzle that comes with stacking a bar over a working hotel.
The result is earthy, verdant and warm. An operable roof courtyard blurs the line between inside and out. An olive tree nods to the local community's Greek heritage, while artwork by local artist Drapl is woven into the walls. The aesthetic feels grown rather than designed — a greenhouse atmosphere built around acoustic constraints that shaped every material choice as much as the look did.
The outcome is a space that feels natural, almost inevitable: one floor up, sky overhead, like it was always meant to be there.
